Inexpensive compared to similar Irons
Just got this so time will tell. I needed a variable temp iron and this fit the bill. the base is plastic not metal like my old weller (w/o variable temp). I work primarily on guitars and amps and this works really well. Hi temp for soldering to the back of pots and heavier power supply connections and lower temp for most of the other tasks.

Great bang for the buck
I've only used it once so far but I must say I am very impressed with the quality of this soldering station given how inexpensive it is. When you need more heat, you adjust the temperature and it's there. Very nice product. I really like the variable temperature as well as the interchangeable tips you can purchase separately. Very impressed!
