The "DC XL" Venus fly trap up for grabs in this auction is the FlytrapStore's second public offering of this remarkably giant Flytrap clone. This is it! The challenger to 'B52' for the "world's largest traps" title; a giant monster of a plant. Grow one and judge for yourself! The "XL," in case it wasn't obvious, stands for X-tra Large. Out of the thousands of Venus fly traps that we grow here at the FlytrapStore, "DC XL" has produced the largest traps of any flytrap that we have ever seen in person, including larger traps than the infamous 'B52'. The first two photos of this auction show the size that a mature "DC XL" flytrap can attain. See the bottom photo for the size of the actual plant for sale in this auction.
The plant up for auction here (see below photo) is the largest specimen we have available at this time. It is a flowering-size "DC XL" flytrap that was produced through our tissue culture laboratory and has been hardening off in the greenhouse for the past 4 or 5 months. This plant will be shipped bareroot (not potted) unless the auction winner requests otherwise at the close of the auction (additional charges will apply for shipping and handling).
