"Megatraps" Venus Fly Trap Plant

A Giant Flytrap Clone

The "Megatraps" Venus fly trap up for grabs in this auction is the FlytrapStore's first public offering of this giant Flytrap clone. "Megatraps," also known as "G17," is a vigorous grower and large Venus fly trap that is reportedly capable of producing traps up to 2 inches in size.  With good lighting and proper conditions, "Megatraps" can also achieve deep red interior trap coloration that will spill over to the outside edge of the trap (see above photo).  "Megatraps" originated in Europe from Marston Exotics when it was owned by Paul Gardner.

The photos accompanying this auction are of the the exact "Megatraps" Venus flytrap being auctioned. It is a young-adult, flowering-size "Megatraps" flytrap that was produced through our tissue culture laboratory and has been hardening off in the greenhouse for the past year. This plant will be shipped bareroot (not potted) unless the auction winner requests otherwise at the close of the auction (additional charges will apply for shipping and handling).
