Rare "FTS Lunatic Fringe" Venus Fly Trap PlantA Unique Venus Flytrap Clone
The "FTS Lunatic Fringe" Venus fly trap up for grabs in this auction is the FlytrapStore's second offering of this unique and remarkable Flytrap clone. A FlytrapStore original clone raised from seed that was harvested in 2009, "FTS Lunatic Fringe" sports highly serrated trap margins, which are even more serrated than those of 'Sawtooth' and Bristletooth. In addition to the defining woolly teeth for which it was named, "FTS Lunatic Fringe" has quite tall, very upright growth during the spring and summer months. Other defining characteristics of "FTS Lunatic Fringe" are its unique trap shape which at times is nearly fused at the distal end, the fact that adult traps usually only have 2 trigger hairs per lobe (as opposed to the normal 3 to 4 trigger hairs), and long-thin petioles reminiscent of the flytrap clones "Spider" and "WIP Slim Snapper." We have only about a half dozen "FTS Lunatic Fringe" flytraps that will be ready for sale this year. The photos accompanying this auction are of the the exact "FTS Lunatic Fringe" Venus flytrap plant being auctioned. The auction is only for the largest plant in the pot. The smaller plants sharing the pot are not included in the auction. The plant is a young "FTS Lunatic Fringe" flytrap that was produced in our tissue culture laboratory and has been hardened off to greenhouse conditions over the last year. This plant will be shipped bareroot (not potted) unless the auction winner requests otherwise at the close of the auction (additional charges will apply for shipping and handling).
