This model is designed to attach to a wall outlet, providing three protected power outlets plus a pair of USB charger ports with a total capacity of 2.1 amps.

The clear plastic tab at the top of the unit illuminates green to indicate when the surge protector is providing protection to your equipment. When the protection circuitry has been fully consumed by power and current spikes, the protection light will no longer illuminate, indicating that the surge protector should be replaced.
