EXTREMELY RARE METAL HEELED DERBIES from the S/S 2004 COLLECTION by HELMUT LANG

these are not the 'new' helmut lang as overseen by the theory group, but are an original design by helmut lang himself. this was the season that he added metal accents to the toes, heels, and side soles of his footwear for both men and women -- however, in my opinion, these are the most subtle, elegant, and uniquely versatile out of all the variations...

aside from the accents, these are really nice derbies on their own. he used this particular shape for a few seasons, and they're pretty characteristic to his name. the shape is rather sleek overall, with a slightly pointed toe. they'd look great with any type of short, skirt, or pant (particularly slim ones), and can be dressed down nicely with some black denim, etc.

vintage helmut lang is already pretty hard to come across as it is -- eBay is generally pretty full of odd pieces, in awkward sizes and strange colors. and they're almost always in used condition. these are BRAND NEW WITH THE ORIGINAL BOX / DUSTBAG, which is pretty unheard of. especially considering these are from 8 years ago... as you can see, there are no creases on the leather, and the soles are perfectly clean -- they've only been tried on indoors.

they're constructed from 100% calf leather, with a very subtle sheen. MADE IN ITALY. the size is marked as a US 10, which is a EU 43. i'd say they run a bit large, however. i'm an 11, and they're perfect on me. i'd say they're more suited for a US 10.5-11 / EU 43.5-44
