Item: Lionel 2046 Locomotive & Tender, 4-6-4 Hudson

Year Made: 1954-58, later version with white lettering

Scale / Gauge: O Gauge / 0-27

Condition: C-4, Rust & some missing parts, Locomotive & Tender will need restoration

Box / Condition: no boxes

Description: Lionel 2046 Steam Locomotive & 2046W whistle tender. 

These were found in a garage attic and mice had built a nest around them.  The mice sure did their damage to this wonderful setup.  The locomotive appears to be mostly complete. One side rod is disconnected.  The jewels for the front maker lights are still present. 

The tender shell has a growth on the top/side that is likely a result of the mice (urine, feces, or something else). I lightly cleaned the tender shell with soap & water to remove the bulk of the debris. The whistle motor, coil, and blower chamber appear to be intact.  Rear truck is separate (clip missing) and has a broken coupler.

Please study the pictures and make sure you understand what you are bidding on.  The actual loco and tender look worse cosmetically than the pictures reveal (my opinion).   This will make for an excellent restoration project and the outcome will be an admirable piece in your Lionel collection.
