About this nonprofit:
Partners In Health strives to achieve two overarching goals: to bring the benefits of modern medical science to those most in need of them and to serve as an antidote to despair. PIH works in 12 countries, including Haiti, and is providing medical relief in the earthquake response, both in Port-au-Prince and at our existing 10 sites in Haiti.

If you saw the second season of FX's award-winning "Justified," you'll recall Mags Bennett's famous "apple pie." And once you see these commemorative Mags Bennett drinking "jars," you'll just have to have them. Two are sold in this lot, so you can share a drink with a friend (or a frenemy).
Each jar is about five and a half inches tall. The "Justified" logo is on the front in red lettering. On the back, in black lettering, each jar says the following: Mags Bennett's Emmy Winning Apple Pie. "It was already in the glass. Not in the jar." The gold lid bears the FX logo and the log of Sony Pictures Television (which produces the show). Lawman or criminal, there's no better way to commemorate Mags than to own these jars, which are not sold in any store. My name is Maureen Ryan and I'm the TV critic for The Huffington Post. I'm selling an array of items that I've received from various TV networks to benefit the medical charity Partners in Health, which works to bring health care to Haiti and other countries (feel free to check out the PIH web site for more information). One hundred percent of the proceeds of the sale of all items in the auction go to Partners in Health. Items are typically shipped within five days of confirmed receipt of payment. If you are unhappy with the item in any way, I will refund 100 percent of your money, but I ask that you pay the shipping cost to return the item to me. Auctions are limited to bidders with addresses in the United States; shipping internationally is not an option at this time (I'm sorry about that, truly). If you have any questions about this auction, go to Huffington Post TV (there will be a post about the auction on my HPTV page soon). Many thanks for making a difference, TV fans! |
