About this nonprofit:
Partners In Health strives to achieve two overarching goals: to bring the benefits of modern medical science to those most in need of them and to serve as an antidote to despair. PIH works in 12 countries, including Haiti, and is providing medical relief in the earthquake response, both in Port-au-Prince and at our existing 10 sites in Haiti.

Show your 'Bones' pride by wearing this T-shirt commemorating the hit Fox TV show.
The size Large American Apparel long-sleeved T-shirt is 100 percent cotton. It says "Bones Fox" in small letters on the front, and on the back, there is a comic-book image of Booth and Brennan. Brennan says "This should be one mother of a season" as Booth sits next to her looking handsome. Brennan is holding a skull and underneath the image, the shirt says "Bones" in red and black letters. When laid flat, the shirt is about 26.25 inches long in the front and about 30 inches long in the back. The sleeves are about 27.25 inches long. All measurements are approximate. Also in this lot: The hardcover edition of Kathy Reichs' 'Flash and Bones' novel. Reichs is the bestselling writer whose work inspired 'Bones.' Amazon's description of the novel: "Kathy Reichs—#1 New York Times bestselling author and producer of the FOX television hit Bones—returns with a riveting new novel set in Charlotte, North Carolina, featuring America’s favorite forensic anthropologist, Dr. Temperance Brennan. "Just as 200,000 fans are pouring into town for Race Week, a body is found in a barrel of asphalt next to the Charlotte Motor Speedway. The next day, a NASCAR crew member comes to Temperance Brennan’s office at the Mecklenburg County Medical Examiner to share a devastating story. Twelve years earlier, Wayne Gamble’s sister, Cindi, then a high school senior and aspiring racer, disappeared along with her boyfriend, Cale Lovette. Lovette kept company with a group of right-wing extremists known as the Patriot Posse. Could the body be Cindi’s? Or Cale’s? "At the time of their disappearance, the FBI joined the investigation, only to terminate it weeks later. Was there a cover-up? As Tempe juggles multiple theories, the discovery of a strange, deadly substance in the barrel alongside the body throws everything into question. Then an employee of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention goes missing during Race Week. Tempe can’t overlook the coincidence. Was this man using his lab chemicals for murder? Or is the explanation even more sinister? What other secrets lurk behind the festive veneer of Race Week? "A turbocharged story of secrets and murder unfolds in this, the fourteenth thrilling novel in Reichs’s “cleverly plotted and expertly maintained series” (The New York Times Book Review). With the smash hit Bones about to enter its seventh season and in full syndication—and her most recent novel, Spider Bones, an instant New York Times bestseller—Kathy Reichs is at the top of her game." My name is Maureen Ryan and I'm the TV critic for The Huffington Post. I'm selling an array of items that I've received from various TV networks to benefit the medical charity Partners in Health, which works to bring health care to Haiti and other countries (feel free to check out the PIH web site for more information). One hundred percent of the proceeds of the sale of all items in the auction go to Partners in Health. Items are typically shipped within five days of confirmed receipt of payment. If you are unhappy with the item in any way, I will refund 100 percent of your money, but I ask that you pay the shipping cost to return the item to me. Auctions are limited to bidders with addresses in the United States; shipping internationally is not an option at this time (I'm sorry about that, truly). If you have any questions about this auction, go to Huffington Post TV (there will be a post about the auction on my HPTV page soon). Many thanks for making a difference, TV fans! |
