This is an amazing piece of art!  Such a beautiful piece combining great craftsmanship with art.  This is number 110 of 400 built.  They went for $1500.00 new plus $170 for the walnut case.

Now is your chance to own this impeccably built tool.

From the Bridge City Tools website:

"There was a time, now long gone, when furniture-grade lumber was froe-split from perfect logs. As one might imagine, these straight-grained boles yielded planks that were no match for a sharp plane in skilled hands. Today, sawn timbers from around the globe contain infinitely varying grain and hardness characteristics, often in a single board!

The initial run of the limited-edition VP-60 Signature Series is 400. Each plane is sequentially numbered and signed by master tool designer, John Economaki.

At the heart of the VP-60 Variable Pitch Bench Plane is a robust A2 steel iron, hardened to Rc 60-62, cryogenically tempered, precisely lapped and sharpened to 29° (25° primary bevel, 4° micro-bevel). This iron is ready to use out of the box. The VP-60 iron nests to a frog assembly (patent pending) that pivots from 30° to 60°. This provides for a full 60° of attack angles; 30° thru 60° with the iron bevel down, and 60° thru 90° with the iron bevel up. With a 60° range, the VP-60 truly becomes a pitch perfect plane, featuring every attack angle ever needed, including 30° the lowest attack angle we have ever seen."

Or see for yourself by going to the Bridge City Tools website and searching VP-60.

Plane is sold as is in the pictures.  If you have any questions let me know.

Thanks for looking!
