You are bidding on a D&D Mapping Tile Organizer Case!
Designed with Wizard of the Coast’s (WotC) exceptional D&D Dungeon Tiles D&D Game-Mapping product line in mind, this D&D Dungeon Tiles Organizer and Storage Case was designed to address the frustrations encountered when attempting to find an easy-to-use, economically organized method of dealing with the multitude of standard Tile sizes and configurations inherent in the D&D Dungeon Tiles products as they existed prior to October, 2008 (Dungeon Tiles I – VI, and DU1). Although various single, and multi-compartmented boxes, such as Tackle and Hardware Parts boxes, not to mention the inimitable Zip-Lock® Bags holding the various standard sizes and configurations of tiles work to some degree, more often than not, you find yourself having to shuffle, and burrow through five or six layers of variously sized Tiles to get to that one particular tile that you were looking for to complete the exact Dungeon room configuration you had envisioned for a particular encounter. Tiles spill out on the tabletop and floor, and subsequently get eaten by the dog, and/or kicked under cabinets as you dig through the host of options needed to find that one 1x2 tile that depicted a particular double-door tile that you needed. And naturally, all the other 1x2 door tiles were being used elsewhere, upside-down as generic tiles to fill-out an alcove in an adjacent room.
Sound familiar?
That’s what I thought! So… I decided to address the issue. I thought long and hard about what would offer a better solution to the problems I had experienced in using the D&D Dungeon Tiles – since despite their inherent problems, I still feel that they are the best solution for what they were designed for. In my opinion, they are still far and above any other mapping products I’ve found for immediate, simple table-top mapping requirements. I searched on-line, but was unable to locate anything that seemed to deal with my perceived problems in a simple and straight-forward manner. So I decided to take matters into my own hands. The D&D Dungeon Tiles Organizer and Storage Case is the result.
The D&D Dungeon Tiles Organizer and Storage Case is an 11½” tall by 15¾” wide x 4” deep plastic 2-removable tray design intended to make locating specific sizes of tiles more intuitive, convenient, and easier to retrieve. It is the size of a small briefcase and is easily transported using the built-in handle. The tiles are contained in 2 customized Trays that were designed to hold all of the originally produced Dungeon-tile sizes in their own specific, individually designed compartments, with externally positioned openings that allow you to retrieve any one, or number of tiles based on the precise configuration of the tile(s) desired. The 2 trays fit opposite one another in the external perimeter containment piece and can be removed independently of each other. The two removable compartmented organizer trays are further covered with a magnetized pull-lid cover that can be removed and set aside if desired, allowing you to maintain optimal space at the gaming table for easy access to the tiles in each respective compartmented tray, yet keep the remaining pieces contained securely in that particular tray when closed. The compartmented storage trays can hold literally hundreds of the 12 standard-sized D&D Dungeon Tiles in individual, externally accessible compartments (when the trays have been removed from the perimeter containment ring) that are either 1” deep (Approximate 12-tile stacking depth), or 2” deep (Approximate 24-tile stacking depth) in all of the originally produced Dungeon Tile sizes and configurations that were available at the time of this case’s initial design – up to D&D Dungeon Tiles version DU1. Tile sizes and customized compartment configurations included are 1x1, 1x2, 1x4, 2x4, 2x2, 2x8, 4x4, 4x8, 8x8, 8x10, as well as 2x2, and 4x4 pentagonal-shaped; i.e., 5-sided corner-configured compartments. There are also several vertically-configured compartments that are perfect for keeping those often-used or ‘special’ tiles ready and quickly to hand. There are ‘Special’ vertically-configured compartments for both the 1” deep tray, and the 2” deep trays.
What tiles you decide to put in them is totally up to you!
