You are bidding on a complete in-box (CIB, or "cartridge, instruction manual, box" also) set of the 8-bit Nintendo Entertainment console video game Tecmo Super Bowl. This is not only an excellent game on its own, but this represents a rare collector's opportunity to not only get the box and instruction manual, but the other in-box items as well. Auction includes the following items, all original as produced in 1991: * Tecmo Super Bowl box * Tecmo Super Bowl instruction booklet * Tecmo Super Bowl game cartridge * Plastic dust cover for game cartridge * "Quick Reference" sheet for game instructions * Seizure warning slip * Tecmo promotional tri-fold for some of their other games * Nintendo Power magazine subscription tri-fold slip * Styrofoam block for packaging Again, you are not only getting the game, but the original instruction manual and box as well. Furthermore, you are not only getting those three items, but everything that originally came in the box, including the hard-to-find promotional pieces. Now, as far as the condition of the items, PLEASE NOTE the following details for full disclosure: Generally Speaking -- You are bidding on a used item. This is a game that has seen play, a box that has been opened and closed many times, an instruction manual that has been referred to, etc. These are not pristine, perfect items. From a collector's point of view, their shape is not even "excellent," but the value is in the hard-to-find items you are getting here. That being said, I am confident in saying that, outside of unopened copies, you will be hard-pressed to find a complete set in better shape... especially with all the promotional inserts. Box -- The is, unfortunately, a small tear on one of the bottom flaps. The top flap does have noticeable wear from opening and closing. Otherwise, the actual faces of the box are visibly flawless. Would make a superb on-shelf display piece. Instruction Manual -- Both the front and back cover have cosmetic wrinkles. There is minor outside wear along the spine. Unfortunately, there are small creases at the top and bottom right corners of the front cover. Also, on the interior back page, there are "house rules" handwritten in the Notes section. The interior pages are in fantastic shape, with the exception of some hard "thumb creases" on a few pages that have tiny tears as well. Cartridge -- I have bad news and good news. The bad news: While the front, back, and even the pin connections are in wonderful shape, the topside label is curling from the edge and bottom, with wrinkling and creasing. The good news is that the cartridge itself is popular and somewhat common; if you truly wanted to replace any part of this set, the cartridge would be cheapest and easiest to find in better shape. Other Items -- The promotional inserts, dust cover, etc. are all in eerily perfect shape. A true treat. I will gladly answer any questions about this listing via private Ebay messages. Thank you. |
