WHY USE BEDDING PILLARS?

Using a bedding pillar eliminates the variable compression created when tightening a stock screw previously placed in a wooden or synthetic stock.  The variable compression translates into stresses on the barrel and action which result in reduced accuracy.

Þ            Nominal outside diameter = 1/2" , actual outside diameter is slightly smaller to allow it to freely fit into a 1/2" hole

Þ                  The pillar can be cut to length, and is long enough for all installations. 

Þ            The roughened finish on the outside of the pillar increases the surface area the bedding epoxy can bond to, providing a more secure installation

Þ         Aluminum will not corrode or pit
