This is Thunderbirds Aussie Made tape (not the cheaper imported type which is identified by the orange label).

 This hot tape has 5 strands of stainless steel wire in it, this helps carry the charge, but always remember that the friction loss in hot tape of this kind is about 1 in 4.

The weave on this particular tape is very tight and as a whole it is extremely well constructed. As one of the very best quality tapes we have seen, it comes at a much reduced price tag as an added bonus!

 It has slight bends in the wire allowing for expansion and contraction as well which is a true sign of fantastic quality.
