History: The material is: Brass Clad Copper
The Presidential Dollar coin is part of a series of coins honoring each of the former presidents of the United States of America. Four different coins are issued each year, one for each of the next 4 presidents in the sequence they served in office.
The mintmark, as well as the date and motto "IN GOD WE TRUST", are all written in letters around the edge of the coin for 2007 and 2008. Starting in 2009 the "IN GOD WE TRUST" was moved back to the face of the coin due to public outcry.
