Legendary Pearl Jam lead guitarist Mike McCready is auctioning a Gibson Flying V Faded Cherry guitar autographed by Pearl Jam for CCFA Team Challenge (ccteamchallenge.org) in conjunction with the Wishlist Foundation.


The guitar is signed by Pearl Jam

Stone Gossard - rhythm guitar
Jeff Ament - bass
Matt Cameron - drums
The guitar comes with a SKB Flying V Type Hardshell Guitar Case with TSA lock.

About the Gibson Flying V Faded Cherry Guitar
  • The guitar MRSP is $1,299 without signatures
  • A certain aura of mystique surrounds the Gibson Flying V. A guitar well ahead of its time when it was introduced in 1958, the Flying V’s intense magnetic appeal, powerful sound, and unusually familiar shape have made it one of the most instantly recognizable guitars in the world. Legendary Gibson President Ted McCarty was looking to add a futuristic aspect to the company’s image when he introduced the Flying V, and he nailed it. And while some of the greatest guitar players of all-time—including Lonnie Mack and Albert King—immediately embraced the Flying V, it wasn’t until Gibson reintroduced the guitar in 1967 that the rest of the world caught on.

  • A distinctively shaped case designed to fit 1958 to present day Flying V type guitars from various manufacturers including Gibson®, Epiphone®, Jackson®, Dean®, Ibanez®, etc. This case features plush lining over a molded EPS foam interior to cradle the guitar and provide neck support and a convenient accessory compartment.The exterior is constructed of a nearly indestructible molded ABS polymenr that has been engineered to provide the ultimate protection during transport and TSA recognized and accepted SKB trigger release latching system allows the user to lock the case and still have it inspected by airline security personnel. Additional features include a nearly indestructible injection molded rubber over-molded cushioned carrying handle with injection molded feet and a bumper protected valance.
