|Fantastic collection of 20 different, original Circus Sideshow / Freaks / Human Oddities Photographs from the wire photo service of Kobel Feature Photos.
All of the photographs are ca1950’s, glossy photos of VERY rare images of Sideshow Performers originally taken in the years from 1870’s to the 1950’s. Each of the photographs measure approx. 7” x 5” and most have typed identification of the subject on the reverse. Many of the photographs also have information about the Human Oddity pictured including what Circuses and/or Shows they toured with and statements about their “oddity”.
Subjects include Mrs. Al. Ringling, Owen Johnson (tatoo artest) with Harry Earles (midget), Aloa (Alligator boy), Le-ola (living hermaphrodite), Dudley Foster (midget), Rham Sam (sheep-haired man), “Three Billiard Ball Charlie”, Happy Jack Eckert (Fat man), a Hunchback Midget, Mlle. Zora (lady snake charmer), “Turtle Girl”, John Aasen (giant), Eko and Iko (sheep headed men), Randion (human torso), Miss Anges Schmidt (rubber skinned girl), Sealino (seal girl), etc., etc.
All 20 Black and White photographs are either original ca1950’s photos, 1950’s copy photos of earlier images or later printings from original negatives. We have been told that Kobel feature Photos of Frankfurt, Indiana specialized in providing wire photos to the main stream and tabloid press of weird and fringe personalities such as Sideshow acts, professional wrestlers, Tattoo art and artists, weight lifters, show girls, etc.
All of the photos are in excellent condition - clean and crisp though slightly along the long axis as expected for unmounted photos that are 50+ years old.
A wonderful collection of 20 ca1950’s wire service photographs of VERY rare images of Circus Sideshow Human Oddities and a fantastic addition to any collection!!!

Important Notes about Shipping Charges:
The amount quoted for Shipping & Handling is calculated by eBay and is equal to the EXACT amount charged by the Post Office plus a $1.00 "packing fee" - the $1.00 fee is our only compensation for the virgin packing materials we use on all of our professionally packaged boxes as well as our cost for the salaried help that does most of our packing - as I am sure you can see, we make NO profit on the Shipping charges and, in fact, our costs are usually greater than the $1.00 fee. Please contact us if there are any issues regarding the cost of shipping.
