bought this carb as a replacement for an 8 hp Tecumseh engine on a yard king (Murray) snow blower. Ran great right out of the box, very little adjustment was needed. I like the main jet adjustment capability for changing winter temps here in upper Michigan. I also like that it has the plunger to drain the bowl for summer storage or worse, water in gas. One of the best $13 I ever spent. Also the gasket provided seemed good quality, not cheap paper. Took me about an hour to change, but I am a retired heavy equipment mechanic. takes only a few common tools to do the job

The choke linkage did not match what I had on the OEM carb so I had to remove it from the old carb and transfer it to this new one. The butterfly plate was bigger on the OEM carb so I had to grind the edges off to make it fit. Also the screw holes on the side for the heat cover were not tapped well enough and I broke off a screw trying to mount it. I wish that I would have had time to return it but snow was coming so I made it work. It might be fine for the other engines listed but didn't work out of the box for mine. Once I got it modified and mounted, it worked fine with little tuning needed. At 1/10th of the cost of OEM, I guess you get what you pay for.

This was an awesome deal, i was going to go out and buy a new snowblower this year for around $700.00. The one i have is around 20 yrs old and has been running rougher and rougher every year, I tried to adjust the carb this summer to no avail, it just wouldnt smooth out or even idle down. I found this carb for a VERY reasonable price and thought id give it a go and see what happens. Well, i put the new carb on, (which shipped very quickly) hit the starter button and it ran pretty much flawlessly right away. I did go through and do the adjustments as advised and it works great, Thank for a great product at a really nice price.

This carb was not the one I needed, this one has a primer bulb and the choke goes in the opposite direction, and the gas connection is straight out of the carb. I did a few modifications, and it works perfect and only cost 17.00, the one I needed to be a direct replacement cost 100.00, wow, what a savings. Thanks again

Needed a spare while I locate parts to rebuild the original Tecumseh carburetor, so gave this a try. Was a direct fit for my old carburetor. Worked straight out of the box. Runs pretty smoothly with only minor sporadic popping, which is probably just old gas. Only time will tell, but by then I will have the original rebuilt and on the shelf.
