This is not a Honeywell filter. It is the exact size with the following improvements:

1. Honeywell filters only come in MERV 10 & 13. Quality makes a
MERV 8, 11 & 13.
2. The number of pleats  in the Honeywell filter is 11 compared
to 13 for the Quality filter.
3. The square footage of media in the Honeywell filter is 12.75
compared to 16.5 in the Quality filter.

What does all this mean? The more pleats and square footage of media a filter has the
lower the initial pressure drop will be and the longer the filter will last. You are getting more
filter life and value for your hard earned dollar!

HOME AIR FILTER MERV RATING SELECTION GUIDE
 
MERV ratings are one of those big technical concepts that can quickly confuse
anyone. This chart is designed to simplify the rating system and help you select
the MERV filter for your home.
 
MERV stands for Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value. The American Society
of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) assigns a
MERV number intended to help compare filters "apples to apples". The MERV
scales ranges from 1 to 16, and measures a filters ability to remove particles from
.30 to 10 microns in size. To give you an idea of the scale of a micron, 100 microns
is about the thickness of a piece of paper or a human hair. Filters with higher ratings
not only remove more particles from the air, they also remove smaller particles.
 
The MERV rating you need for your comfort system comes down to your sensitivity
to dust and other pollutants and the air quality issues you face in your home. A 
MERV 8 filter will handle many of the larger air-borne particles that are common in most
homes. However, if you or a loved one has respiratory challenges, it may be better to go 
with a MERV 11 or MERV 13. It is all based on personal preference and the conditions 
you face. No one can give you the definitive answer to which is best for your situation...
not a scientist, engineer or HVAC contractor... it is your health we are talking about and
it is ultimately your choice.
 
This chart gives you a general sense of the range of particles that specific MERV rated
filters can handle. One point to consider is that the higher the MERV you select to use,
the possibility it may need to be changed more frequently. A higher rated MERV filter
collects smaller particles and may clog up faster because of their higher efficiency.
