Up for your consideration is an antique 19th c turned wooden dough bowl , retaining its original brown and orange trim paint which is an quid  essential pennsylvania color running from delaware valley to harrisburg (berks county), olney county whole state  southeastern middle and western pa region. This large bowl measures 14 1/2" by 15" and stands 4" at it highest part. Bowl is off round by 3/4" and is ovoid in shape. Nice turning marks on both inside and the outside of bowl with fat wide rim.

Paint is milk paint and not out of a can, it has appropriate age related wear marks, there is no stain underneath paint and no sand marks and paint has adhered to the bowl . The inside of the bowl was painted and there is paint lost from age & wear related use.  Very typical  Pa bowls to have painted trim and inside and especially in this color combination. I know its different than New england bowls, but its guarenteed to be authentic or your money back.

This turned treenware bowl is estate fresh from a Delaware Valley auction house, who does weekly estate sales. This week estate was amazing it's was an entire general store from Manheim Pa (Lancaster County) chock full of advertising, chocolate related items such as Hershey, they closed the store down sometime in 1960's and preserved everything with shrink wrap and just filled store with their collection. They collected a little of everything and I bought all of their bowls.

Please feel free to make any offers, there is some wiggle room.  I do not take bids from bidders with less than 10 feedbacks. Payment due within 5 days unless arrangements have been made. I would consider lay-away plan. Shipping is 12.95 to anywhere in the lower 48 states, including tracking number. Please see my other auctions for more country antiques, primitives and folk art from the same lancaster county general store estate.
