Up for bids is a classic pinball machine - Bally's CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON. Manufactured in 1993, this great game is filled with cool features, not the least of which is the hologram in the center of the playfield. And if you've been looking for a CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON pinball machine for your collection, this may be the one for you. This game is in exceptional/near mint condition. It's working perfectly, with no malfunctions or errors. The flippers are strong, and all of the boards are clean and operating the way they should be. The dot matrix display looks great, and all of the electronics are functioning perfectly. The translite is in excellent condition, with only a few very light rub marks on the back (which aren't visible when the game is turned on) and some light nicotene stains from when the game had been operated in a bar. The playfield is Diamond Plate, with no wear anywhere on it. It looks fantastic! A few weeks ago, new white rubber rings were installed. although a couple of the "old" black rubber rings are still in place in the hard-to-reach (and hard-to-see) places on the playfield. There are green rubber rings on the flippers which match the game's artwork perfectly. This playfield even has the "dimpled" black metal rails on the side edges and in the plunger lane, which looks much cooler than the standard wooden rails. The ramps and all of the plastics are in excellent condition, with nothing broken, cracked, or chipped. The only broken plastic is the Snack Bar plastic in the center of the playfield BUT this machine comes with a brand new Snack Bar plastic in perfect condition so you can swap out this plastic if you want to. A brand new pair of slingshot plastics was recently installed, and the original pair of slingshot plastics is also included. The Creature hologram works perfectly and it's mostly green with just a slight amount of blue fading (typical for most of these CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON machines). The cabinet is in very nice/excellent condition. There are some small chips on both sides of the backbox, but most of these chips are in the black areas and could be easily restored/repainted. There's very little (if any) fading on the sides of the cabinet. There are two tiny holes drilled in the right side of the cabinet (looks like an ashtray may have been attached to the game at one time), but these holes are in a black area so they could be sanded down and repainted very easily; these holes can be seen in the second-to-last photo. There's also a small hole drilled in the front of the cabinet below the plunger which was probably used to secure a lockbar across the coin door. And this game also comes with something that you rarely find -- a set of black dimpled legs! These legs match the dimpled rails on the playfield and are extremely hard to find today! There's also a bill acceptor in the coin door, along with two coin chutes; the bill acceptor and the coin mechs work perfectly. The game is set on free play right now, but can be easily converted back to coin play if you want to operate this machine out on location. The game comes with all of the original manuals, and has the locks and keys for the front door and for the backbox. And the game also comes with the original Bally CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON backbox topper which is usually difficult to find today. Look over the photos, and you'll see that this game has virtually no wear on it. You're not likely to find another CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON pinball machine in much nicer condition than this one anywhere else unless it was home use only and never on location. This machine is available FOR PICKUP ONLY in the Cleveland, Ohio, area -- shipping is not available so please don't ask me to make an exception for you. Payment must be in cash on pickup only. The game is located in the basement, so please be prepared to move the machine up a flight of stairs if you are the winning bidder.
