If you're looking for the original Macintosh -- the one that started it all, look no further. Because, this is an original 1984 model built in Fremont, California. And, this particular unit was later upgraded by Apple to a Macintosh Plus with 1MB of RAM. This system has also been upgraded to the maximum capacity of 4MB RAM, which lets you run many programs all at once, as well as an 800k floppy drive that allows you to run System 6! This is the most capable and upgraded Model M0001 'original' Macintosh ever sold by Apple.
I'm also including an original Apple 3.5" Disk Drive, so you'll be able to run two disks at once, which can be very practical for a computer without a hard drive! You can have a software or system disk in one drive, while your blank 'save' disk is in the other!

Apple did provide an expensive "official" upgrade path for the Macintosh 128K, which included a motherboard replacement effectively making it a Macintosh 512K, for the price of US$ 995.[16][17] Additionally, Apple offered an 800 K floppy disk drive kit, including updated 128K ROMs. Finally, a Mac 128K could be upgraded to a Macintosh Plus by swapping the logicboard as well as the case back (to accommodate the slightly different port configuration) and optionally adding the Macintosh Plus extended keyboard. Any of the kits could be purchased alone or together at any time, to upgrade the Macintosh 128K piecemeal or all-at-once. All upgrades were required to be performed by professional Apple technicians.[18]

Functionality
This system, it's keyboard, mouse and external disk drive work 100% as new. You can expect this system to perform as new like it should, it has not given me a single problem. Please note that disk drives have moving parts and may stop functioning properly at some time. These disk drives have been cleaned using a 3.5" Cleaning Diskette, and have so far worked perfectly without any issue. The battery in the rear of the unit has not been tested and it's condition is unknown, but does not appear to be corroded. If you are concerned about the unit keeping accurate time, I would suggest replacing it.
Cosmetic Condition
The unit itself, keyboard and mouse are in excellent used condition. These items show little to no visible wear, especially considering age. I have done my best to highlight the few imperfections in the case.
Please see the detailed photographs!
Please note that the keyboard and mouse are not original to the system and are the later 'Platinum' color rather than beige, due to being it a 'Plus' upgrade. The keyboard shows mild discoloration which is common due to the use of fire-safe plastics, while the mouse appears to be very clean. The computer shows a nice factory beige color, but no signs of discoloration. I removed every key-cap from the keyboard and washed them all in a soapy water solution, and blew all the dust out from underneath. Therefore, this keyboard is very clean and ready to use!
The external 3.5" Disk Drive does appear to show some mild discoloration, but is otherwise very clean. There are two very small chips in the display that I didn't even notice until I began cleaning it. These are otherwise not noticable while the machine is in operation. They are not very deep as it was very difficult for me to even feel them with my fingers.
You will notice some vertical lines on the sides of the case due to lighting, there are no vertical lines on the sides of the case.
Software
Since this software is now available for free from Apple, it is perfectly legal to distribute. I have created the disks from new and unopened 3M 3.5" Disks. They work perfectly. Please bear in mind that the software is included free of charge, and you are not paying for it.
Warranty
Due to age, this system is being sold without any warranty. As described above, everything is currently in perfect working order, however I cannot gaurantee the functionality of any of this equipment in the future. With that being said, I am still offering a NON-DOA (non dead-on-arrival) gaurantee and will accept a return only if you have a problem with the system upon receiving it.
