Beautiful Genuine 1978 Apple II Computer- Integer BASIC ROMs, Early Raised Light Keyboard, Collector Quality! Tested!

RARE Original Apple ][ Computer 1978!

The follow-up to the original Apple 1 board computer by Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak, here is a beautiful 1978 genuine Apple II computer, with silver Apple power supply, early Apple II raised power light keyboard, original 1978 stamped motherboard with Integer BASIC ROM set!  Many II units were upgraded with Applesoft ROM set which may have been nice then, but now having one like this is highly collectible and the most valuable.  Note: Some chips are dated later and all are not original, as to be expected on a 35 year old hobbyist computer where socketed chips, parts and other pieces were replaced when defective, freely swapped and exchanged, etc.  That was the intent of these computers and used as such by owners.  This is not 100% bone stock original every little component as none of these are now, so if you want or demand that then this is not for you.  ROM chips are not date coded 1978 so not original to this system, but still a matched Apple Integer set some with 1978 copyright decals.  I also have another early II board buyer can have if they wish for replacement chips, etc.  This is a very nice complete working A2S1 system with rare early raised light keyboard,  and system  fully tested and ready to display and use!

This was a one-owner system, incredibly clean and nice inside and out, in collector condition!  Case is very nice, beige color, no discoloration or yellowing, no paint loss on front edges, very nice and clean. Computer was apparently stored properly so no damage or issues from improper storage like many old computers. Fully tested for functionality which is hard to find now on an Apple II.   This will be the crown jewel of any vintage Apple computer collection!  Own an early piece of Apple history from the days of Jobs and Wozniak!

System has dark green internal expansion slots with gold contacts, silver Apple power supply and 1978 stamped motherboard.
The Serial # is on bottom label: A2S1-10298 indicating original Apple II and fairly early production number. The number on the corner of motherboard is 7845, indicating the 45th week of 1978. October 1978 production date printed on back of keyboard as shown.

Motherboard is date stamped 1978 under the Apple Computer logo as shown, board has 16k memory jumpers, single video pin in upper corner as compared to earlier Rev. 1 boards as explained in the Apple II Reference Manual.  Also has Old Monitor ROM, and Apple II Integer BASIC ROM set installed. Full 48K of RAM is installed, not sure what the original RAM configuration was for this system.

Has the rare original first style early Apple II keyboard with the highly desirable original style raised key-shaped power light! Dated October 1978 on bottom of keyboard as shown.  Very hard to find an original II now with the original early working keyboard as many were replaced with later keyboard from II+ computers as they failed.

This system has been obviously very well cared for and shows little signs of use. Tested and comes on like it should with the familiar II 'beep' and power light on. The computer boots right up to the Old Apple Monitor ROM with the asterisk(*) prompt of the Apple System Monitor at the bottom of a random text screen, exactly as it is supposed to as described in the Apple II Reference Manual. From there you easily access Integer BASIC by holding "Ctrl and B" together and then pressing "Return" and up comes Integer BASIC with its ">" prompt. (Later Apple II Plus systems from 1979 came with an Autostart ROM which automatically displayed "Appe ][" at the top of the screen and the Applesoft BASIC "]" prompt). Adding an Apple Language Card or Applesoft ROM Card to this system would provide Autostart if desired.

All photos are of the actual system you are buying. Don't miss your chance to own this RARE original Apple II computer! These are very hard to find in nice cosmetic ondition, with Apple Integer BASIC, early silver power supply, 1978 Apple stamped motherboard, and original raised power light early keyboard! This will definitely be the highlight of your vintage Apple collection!
