Sadly up for sale is a Martin D-18S Slot Head 12 fret Dreadnought. With the rare Brazilian Rosewood Fret Board (Look at the photo's of that fretboard, WOW) and Bridge. I think the Brazilian parts were only available in 1967 & 68 models. If you don't know the Martin D18 is a Solid Mahogany Back and Sides with a Spruce Top. With this being a 12 fret slothead it gives the Slope-Shouldered Dreadnaught look. If you have any questions about the detail of the build please ask. BTW, I spoke with Martin and the Serial Number Stamp was Dated April 10, 1968...So if you know anyone with that Birth date!!!

The guitar it's self is in wonderful condition for 43 years old. Everything is original except the Saddle, It was upgraded to Bone a while back. Also the Pins were swapped out for Bob Colsi Bone pins. (I have the ones that were in the guitar when I bought it) From what I'm told I'm the second owner of this Beauty. Look at the photo's closely it gives a true image of the condition. There are some bumps and bruises and some finish checking on the top. (the check is only visible if you look in one direction, I don't know why) But over all a smoking guitar. Tons of Mojo, Tons. There are notes that come out of this Hogs that I have never heard, very cool. I think it has to do with it being a 12 fret.

If I didn't need to raise some cash for another guitar this would not be going anywhere. This was part of my keeper collection and a Birth Year guitar for me. Hate to part with it...

I had the guitar setup a couple months ago and had the frets leveled and dressed, no buzzing going on here.

Here is some Audio and Video of the guitar is action: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J_Y84cPqgwU&feature=g-upl&context=G208cdceAUAAAAAAAAAA

Please Ask any questions you might have...I might change my mind soon.

Oh Yes the Guitar comes with the Origanl Case and a card from the shop where the guitar was sold. All Latches are working
