1965 Oscar Teller Model 7/A Classical Guitar

Rare Vintage Luthier Built Guitar – Made In Germany

This is a beautiful and rare Oscar Teller Classical Guitar Model 7/A made in Germany in 1965. Oscar Teller died in 1961 so this guitar was most likely made by his son Horst Teller, who worked with his father in the workshop. The guitar is in good cosmetic condition with beautiful flame maple back and sides. The guitar does have the expected wear of a 47 year old guitar, but this is an original, undamaged condition vintage guitar. The traditional Teller line guitars starting from Model No.3 and they were labeled as Oskar Teller Konzert Gitaren, Telson (Teller and Son) and the Oscar Teller label with lute player. The guitar plays well and has a very nice, rich tone. The fingerboard and frets show minimal signs of use. There is a small burned area on the guitar neck and side of fingerboard size about 1cm wide and 0.5mm deep. I was told by the former owner that this is how the guitar came from the Teller workshop in 1965 but I have no way of knowing whether that is true. Either way, it not a big deal as it is located on the underside of the fingerboard, near the heel (see the last picture). The guitar comes with rather worn original old hard case.
