The 1960 Proof Roosevelt Dime appears to be common in most grades up to about PR69 with a non Cameo or Deep Cameo designation. With a Cameo designation it seems to be scarce in PR68 Cameo or higher. With a Deep Cameo designation it is scarce in about PR67 Deep Cameo condition and higher. In 69 Deep Cameo it is very scarce and no more than a couple hundred examples are known.
Coin collecting is great stuff but I decided to simplify my search to dimes, all kinds, all certifications and all years (of interest). I do have and collect other coins but not in big numbers and sometimes see/but sets or collections that catch my eye. Learning everything I can about one type of coin and its history is enough work for me. So dimes it is..... for now😉

It's amazing to know that you can buy a brand new silver coin that was minted when you were 10 years old (I am now 64) and it be just like it was when it left the mint. These are the Proof coins. One of the popular products for sale on EBay today is the "unopened" Proof sets. The years 1950-1964 offer these proof sets that contain 3 Silver coins (90% Silver) and they are minted especially for the collector. 1960 is one of those Proof years that contains the 1960 Proof Roosevelt Dime. You never know what you are going to get when you open this 60+ year old envelope!! It's kinda like a treasure hunt. So get out there, buy one of these "unopened" sets and find your year in a perfectly minted Proof coin. You will love it, I guarantee!!!
