This auction is for
“local pickup” in Fort Washington Maryland (MD 210 two miles south of MD I-495
Washington DC Beltway). This tractor was
originally owned and used by a farmer who lived behind my house. When he passed (1995) this tractor was given
to my father who wanted to restore it.
However, my father passed (2003) and only partially started the
restoration. The tractor has been stored
on my parent’s covered car port for years.
I recall the tractor ran and operated fine but it has not been used or
ran in years. So the tractor is sold “as
is” either for parts or repair. I can
tell you the tractor doesn’t leak oil and my father had drained the gas
tank. The engine was put into storage
(oil in the cylinders) but I am unable to spin the engine with the hand crank. Included in the auction is the following:
·
1941
Farmall tractor, model-A with a four-speed transmission and a four cylinder gas
engine, serial number FAA-74298.
·
There
are some new parts installed like spark plugs, cap and wires.
·
The
original hand crank is included.
·
Included
are two rear wheel weights (130 pound each), fast hitch bar, drag disc, spring
tooth harrow, hand-lift cultivator, and other attachments that I don’t have a
clue as to what they are or were used for (I’m a city girl). See pictures.
·
Also,
included is a new operator’s manual and new parts catalog. Plus there’s a book on how to restore farm
tractors: by Robert N. Pripps.
Again the tractor
sold “as is” and I really believe it will make a fun restoration project for
someone who is looking to restore an antique tractor or someone who simply needs
parts or the attachments.
This
auction is “local pickup” only and I will only accept PayPal. Once you have made payment, I will provide
you with detailed directions, my cell number and we can setup a pickup date and
time. Being my husband is retired almost
any day/time is going to work. My father
really wanted to restore this tractor but someone else will have to finish his
project. |
