  Completely rebuilt Over Drive (O/D) Transmission right back to like new specs, this was from 1937 Chrysler originally.  Have information on 1937 Chrysler application but not sure if there were any differences between Chrysler and DeSoto O/D transmissions/applications.  This was rebuilt several years ago by rebuilder George Asche, proven to me to be about as knowledgeable of these old O/D transmissions as anyone has been or is currently.  This rebuild is still like new uninstalled since rebuild, clean with new paint and without any running fluid lubrication having been added; just assembly lube during its rebuild.  
  TAKE NOTE: this listing is just for the basic O/D transmission and does not include any of the shift mechanisms (transmission or O/D units).  This came to me with incorrect hand brake (H/B) mechanisms.  We have had some replacement H/B rear brackets re-manufactured and are in the process of having some of the correct H/B Drums re-manufactured.  Correct H/B Brackets and Drum were one of a kind for this application and nearly impossible to find.  
  ANOTHER NOTE:  this O/D assembly is intended for replacement for your broken O/D transmission, where you would be expected to already have the applicable H/B Assembly, shift plate, O/D cable and related incidentals to get your vehicle back up and running with a great rebuilt O/D transmission assembly.  
  Starting price here is at what we put up for the transmission (not including our initial shipping cost) so expecting to get at least an even return on our investment.  Only others I have seen offered were at this price and were not even rebuilt.  
  Another possibility is that this could be used in other MOPAR applications, even early Plymouth or Dodge.  I have some very special brackets which should let this O/D Transmission be used behind as early as 1935 MOPARs with a little ingenuity.  Talk with me personally for more information on requirements for shift parts, hand brake parts, O/D cable, etc.  These other applications don't magically go together but we have some good ideas and applicable parts available.
  This goes to market to get some return on our learning investment.  Now I have two more of these on hand going together, slowly but surely.  Don't know if I can do as good a rebuild as George Asche did with this gear box, but I think will be good candidates for our 1936 Dodge and 1938 Chrysler applications.
