1920's DETROIT JEWEL GAS STOVE - Jadite Green & Creme Enamel COLLECTABLE ANTIQUE
This fabulous DETROIT JEWEL GAS STOVE is the perfect collectable piece for those of you who are interested in creating a wonderful, true updated vintage kitchen! In such lovely condition, with very minimal wear to the enamel. All surfaces are wonderful and clean, with some minor chipping to the enamel on the legs as seen in my numerous pictures. where this chipping has occured, the rest of the enamel around the spot is still secure. Also, there is one spot chip in front on very bottom right side, which can also be seen in my pictures. The rest of the enamel is shiney and bright. Around the knobs there is some soiling which you can see, though I took a damp cloth and checked, and this comes off. The same is the case with the original old celluloid knobs which are all present, and have not been replaced.
The gas line hook up can be seen in the pictures of the back, it is in strong condition. the left side of the stove has the enamel cover which is attached, and lifts up and down, as you guide it for use. the hinges in this area are all working, and there is no damage to the enamel there. if you are a perfectionist, who would like a project to restore a piece like this, this treasure of a stove is your perfect project. offered proudly from the home state in which it was made - Michigan.
Measurements are :
37" wide across top, 27" deep, 36 1/2" tall to cook top, 41" tall tall to top of back splash. The legs are 10 1/4" tall to botton of stove, jut to give you an idea of underneath clearance.
