You are viewing an auction for a professional quality ball and socket stop motion armature. For those of you who are
unfamiliar with stop motion animation, the armature is the skeleton or frame for the characters being animated. They allow
the puppets to hold a pose each frame, a very important part of the process. The better the armature, the better you are able
to animate the puppet and the better your film will look.
The armature featured in this auction is the product of over 3 years of armature making experience. It is made of high quality mild and
stainless steel. It was made for strength and won't break like flimsy aluminum wire armatures will eventually do. It stands at a little short
of 12 inches tall (a full 12 inches if you add a head to the armature). Each part is
meticulously machined to give you adjustable joint tension allowing subtle acting and great performance in your animation.
The feet have been tapped with 6-32 threaded holes allowing you use of tie downs on your sets. Just take a look at the pictures
below.
Don't be fooled by mass produced armature kits seen elsewhere. They are overpriced and are lower quality than something made by a professional artist. I have sold many armatures in the past, so take advantage of this updated design. I have yet have a buyer say that they were not fully satisfied with my work. This is a great product for the stop motion enthusiast or anyone interested in kinetic sculpture. You won't find armatures of this quality go for less than a thousand dollars, so bid with confidence!
*This is a Summer special! I have reduced the price for the starting bid to 99.99! This week only! Don't miss out!* Do you like what you see but need different dimensions for your next animation project? Or maybe you are considering an armature made of a different material? No problem! We offer custom made armatures as well. Check out the website at www.bullkillerstudios.com for more information and pricing. |
