Up for bid is this very rare 1904 Pinehurst Golf Club "The Kickers Cup for Women" sterling silver ladies golf tournament loving cup/trophy by the Gorham Silver Co. This unique trophy is engraved "Pinehurst Golf Club - The Kickers Cup for Women - February 27, 1904 - Won by" (with no name engraved), and an applied emblem marked "Pinehurst Golf Club - Pinehurst NC" (see photos). The piece measures approx. 4 1/4"H, with a gold finish on the inside of the cup. One small ding on the edge - very minor! Marked on the bottom with the typical "Gorham" mark and "STERLING". It weighs 82.5 grams (2.65 troy ounces) of .925 sterling silver. A fine piece of Pinehurst Golf Club memorabilia, and an excellent addition to any golf collection.
