The author is Hugues Le Roux (1860-1925).
The book was published by Librairie Nilsson, Paris (1902).
The story describes the author's trip to Ethiopia at the start of the 20th century.
Le Roux traveled between Djibouti and Addis-Ababa from November 1900 to July 1901,
and from Addis-Ababa to the River Nile between March and May 1901.
The hard copy book is 446 pages.
It is an octavo,
measuring 9 1/2" tall, by 6 1/2" wide, by 1 1/4" thick
(24.1 x 16.5 x 3.2 cm).
It's rebound in textured leatherette with gilt titles on the spine.
The book is illustrated with several color plates,
numerous black-and-white half-tone images in the text,
and two (2) folding maps in color.
Overall, we rate the book in good restored condition.
