Early 1900's antique cook book with Leaflets attached to books marked Cooking Class Leaflet School District of Philadelphia. The beginning pages are titled "Elementary Lessons in Domestic Science". Includes items such as :

  • The Fire and Care of Stove
  • Cleaning
  • Food
  • Breadmaking
  • cuts of beef with color illustrations
  • Table Setting
  • baby care

plus 26 leaflets of recipes for different foods. All are attached in book with composition book type cover and cloth tape spine.  Pages are discolored and fragile due to age. The front several pages have detached. There is no inside title cover, just the start of leaflets.  Handwritten recipe on back end page. Inside is insription "Property of Irene M. Bell Cooking Book" with stamp of date 1923. Cover has wear and tearing at corners and edges.

Measures approx. 5 1/2 x 8 1/4 x 1/2".
