This is an unusual pair of items in one auction but since they are similar, I am listing them together. The clippers are made by Brown & Sharppe mfg. Co. Prov. R.I. and Patent Great Britain with Patents in 1879, 1984 and 1892 in the U.S.They went out of business in 1921. They were some of the most prestigious manufacturers of tools in the late 19th and early 20th century. The box and paperwork is for Oster Model B hair clippers that look very similar to this Brown & Sharppe model. The advertising booklet is full of early 1920's-1930's hair cutting accessories and small appliances including: Oster Fountain Mixer, Animal Clippers, Hair Dryers, and Massage Enhancers-fun & interesting ads.
