Up for auction is an IBM 5161 Expansion Unit for the IBM 5150 PC. This auction is for the 5161 unit, the cable, and the Extender and Receiver cards, but does NOT include the 5150 Personal Computer (or the monitor, or the keyboard). I am auctioning off a 5150 as a separate auction. This 5161 has one 10mb Seagate ST-412 hard drive installed. When this 5161 is hooked up to the 5150, it boots to a C prompt just as it should, with IBM DOS v 3.10. The case is in excellent condition, given its age, with no significant cosmetic issues. There is one expansion slot cover missing on the rear of the machine. See picture. It will come shipped in its original box, inside a second box for added protection. The original box is somewhat soiled and a bit bumped. The $60 shipping specified is an ESTIMATE ONLY and will vary depending on your location: less if you're in New England, and more if you're on the west coast. This system is HEAVY, and will be expensive to ship. Boxed up, it weighs about 35 pounds. That translates to about $80 for a West Coast buyer, and about $25-$30 for a New England buyer, and somewhere between those two figures for folks in the midwest. I will charge actual shipping cost, with the original pre-shipping invoice being a best-efforts estimate based on the UPS or FedEx shipping calculator, and I will follow up with any adjustments if necessary. UPS seems to be the cheaper option for buyers in the northeast; FedEx may be cheaper for west coast buyers, though oversize charges may apply. Local pick-up is enthusiastically encouraged if you live in northern New England. On Jun-17-12 at 07:41:49 PDT, seller added the following information: I would like to add one final note: due to the current price of this item, FedEx will require a signature on delivery in order for the package to be insured. Also, to answer another question, I'm not able to ship this internationally due to the very high costs of shipping. |
