Summary:
The item you are bidding on is an official retired blade server sold by Blizzard (the makers of World of Warcraft), which is engraved with each of the Blizzard staff's signatures and a personal thank-you from Blizzard, along with a glass plaque with the World of Warcraft logo engraved on it. The server itself has only been out of its original box twice, once to take a personal picture with, and once to take the pictures for the eBay listing. This item has not been used by me, but was used by Blizzard for the Dalvengyr realm in World of Warcraft. The server still has all of its original parts and components. Specifications: The server itself is an HP BladeSystem blade server, whose dimensions measure 27.25" x 10.25" x 1.5", comes with two CPUs whose manufacturer and model I cannot determine, 2 sticks of 2GB DDR RAM (4GB DDR RAM total) with 2 free slots (maximum memory capacity unknown), and 2 Hard Disk Drive slots (hot-swappable). The plaque is 20" x 9.25" x 1/8" and is made of what appears to be glass. FAQ: Q: Does the server contain any leftover data from World of Warcraft? A: No. As seen in the picture, the HDD slots are taken up by a piece of plastic to act as a placeholder. You supply your own HDD(s). Q: Will I be able to host a World of Warcraft server on this? A: Yes, you will be able to host a private World of Warcraft server on this blade server. Q: Does it come with everything that it needs to work, out of the box? A: No. This is simply the server; it comes with no hard drives, blade enclosures, or anything to make the server work. You must supply your own equipment to make the blade server work. I'm only selling the server, as it came. Q: How rare is this? A: I've only seen one put up for sale months ago after Blizzard sold them, and I'm pretty sure none are going to be put up any time soon. These are EXTREMELY rare and collectible, as well as pieces of Blizzard's history. If you have any more questions, please feel free to message me with any questions you may have.
