This is a Gibson Master Model Flatiron Festival F model. The serial number is 11114040. Not sure when it was made but the first person to buy it was on 11/01. That's what is on the written paper inside. This is one that was made in Bozeman Montana. It is an Authentic Flatiron. I have owned this mandolin for three years and have only tried playing it a handful of times. My intent was to learn and I just never put the time and effort into doing it. Will need new strings. Updates: Excellent condition. No visible signs of fret wear. No scratches. Two small blemishes on underside of head (pic attached) where previous owner said they used a stand. I've had for 3 years and never put it in a stand. Stays in the case. Comes with a TKL case and 100% Leather Strap I purhcased for it. I was told "This mandolin has a Nashville label but was probably built in the Bozeman, MT plant and finished in Nashville, as 1998 was the year Gibson shifted production." So I'm unsure how to 100% verify. Yes, I'll ship to Canada. On Jan-30-12 at 18:11:51 PST, seller added the following information: Update 01/30: After more investigation and talking to some people it's safe to say this mandolin was made in 2001 in Nashville according to the serial number. |
