I’ve been writing about music and artists most of my life - what I do best is capturing into words what you do best in a compelling biography. The Basic Music Bio Writer Package is only $150 for a solo music artist.The Basic Package consists of a full-length music biography at a price of $150 for a single artist ($175 for band rate of two or more members). The package includes custom written questions specifically for your type of music and biography needs. Word count on ALL Music Bio Writer package biographies is approximately 450 words.
The Expanded Music Bio Writer Package includes the 450-word bio plus a custom written one-page professional press release or one-sheet for $225. These two together comprise the core of any good music press kit, and this price is good for solo artists or multi-member bands. Email me for samples or an explanation of press release and one-sheet differences.
The Pro Music Bio Writer Package is $275 and includes a full length biography, an industry standard one-page press release or one-sheet (your choice) to promote your band or new cd, and a full length cd/mp3 review. I will also provide you with a shortened bio (approximately 250 words) which is good for MySpace, Facebook, SonicBids and other online outlets.

If you need individual components of a press kit, I also offer CD Reviews for only $75, which consists of a professionally written CD review that is perfect to use with press kits. If you only need a Press Release, for $100, The Music Bio Writer will create for you a one-page Press Release or one-sheet (and I'm glad to send samples and explanations of both of those to help you select which is more suited to your needs). These are great for press kits and for sending to media outlets.

Popular culture, music and movies have always fascinated me, even as early as kindergarten. My after school and weekend activities involved recording my favorite songs on an old Sears tape deck, watching television reruns and catching Saturday matinee movies with my mother.
My life-long love of music and movies fused with my adult passion for writing at 18 years old when I earned the position of editorial page editor of my high school newspaper. I now have over 20 years experience as a professional newspaper writer and editor and as a freelance music journalist. Here is an FAQ Section I composed to answer commonly asked questions about my services:
1. How does the process work?
After payment is made, I will then E-mail you the interview questions, which consists typically of 30 introductory questions followed by 5-10 more questions more directly relating to you, your music and your bio needs. Doing interviews by E-mail lets you have more time to work on your answers, and it also saves me from having to transcribe a recorded interview. I also need your most recent music sent to me (postal, links online or mp3s by email). After you provide me with your music and the bio interview answers, you will have your biography in approximately 14-21 working days. If you need it sooner, we can move you up on our calendar for a small fee of $25-50 depending on how soon you need the bio.
2. What can I use the biography for?
A bio can be used on your website, and works great for a My Space or Facebook page. Better yet, your bio will work perfectly with a Sonic Bids or Reverb Nation press kit (or your own press kit). A well written professional music bio serves as a great introduction to new fans, concert promoters, venue owners, publicity agents, record labels and music industry personnel.
3. Why do you require payment up front?
Like all other goods or services, writing is not free (despite the term "Freelance writer"). Many employers in the past - including newspapers, magazines and freelance clients - have used my writing services and never paid. Paying up front alleviates that occurrence, and more importantly, it locks in your due date and secures the time in my upcoming calendar to work on the biography for you.
4. Do you have any references?
Yes, I have a number of music artist references. If you would like a phone number or E-mail address of one or all my references, simply call or text me at (409) 351-9593 or you can E-mail me through eBay, and I will be glad to provide you with references.
5. What payment methods do you accept?

* Please note that a payment is not considered a deposit, and payments are non-refundable for bio client cancellations after 24 hours or for biography projects I book where the artist (you) does not provide the bio interview answers, your music, lyrics or other printed materials within 14 days.
