I bought this from a  developer friend in 1997. It is Rare Vintage Clear Case Apple Newton 110 PDA.  Circa 1994.  Apple often produces prototypes with clear plastics to check for clearance of internal components, usually only a few of each model are made.  Someone high up at Apple really liked the unique look of the Clear Newton prototypes & it was decided Apple would make a small special run of production Newton 110's with clear cases.  They were given as gifts & also offered for sale to Apple Employees & VIPS.  They were also offered for sale to developers at the 1994 WWDC.  They were never available to the general public, which is why most people (even many Apple Collectors) have never seen or even heard of them.  It isn't known how many were made.  I've heard estimates from as little as a few hundred to as high as a thousand.  The Newton is used & in excellent condition with only light signs of use.  It is in working order & boots to the Newton OS.  It comes with the original clear battery cover, clear telescoping stylus, & clear Newton branded pcmcia slot filler card.  The Newton can be powered by standard AA Batteries (not included due to postal regulations) or an AC Adapter (included).  Works well.
