Gibson H-2 mandola built in 1917 in excellent original condition. Beautiful inlaid Handel tuners in great working order. Neck is straight, original frets in good condition - action is perfect. It plays and sounds incredible. The only reason I'm selling it is that I'm starting a new business and I need some cash. Serial #34545 can barely be read on the original label which has a few water stains on it. Top shows some minor dimpling @ the bridge - looking inside it looks like the brace between the bridge and the soundhole came loose at some point and was reglued. Original bridge has an ebony shim glued on to the bottom of it and someone rather carelessly thinned it down a bit - there are some file marks on the treble side of the back of the bridge. But I've had tuned up and played it over 10 years and the action has not changed a bit so I know it's stable. Seams are all tight , no cracks or finish touchups anywhere. Original case even still has the original hinges and handle. I also have a matching A-4 mandolin which I'll be putting up for sale in the next week or so - as soon as I get some pics done .
