1995 Montana made Flatiron 3MB Bouzouki Octave Mandolin, made by Bruce Weber

OK, my friend who owns this beautiful instrument has decided to put it on the market at NO RESERVE and let the market decide how much it is worth. It will go to the highest bidder above $800 or you can buy it NOW for $1,550, although the first bid will eliminate this option.

This is a truly beautiful master quality 1995 Irish bouzouki with a 23.5-inch scale made by Bruce Weber at Flatiron in Montana, before Gibson moved the mandolin production to Nashville. The depth of tone this instrument produces is truly astounding. This one has the highly desirable but rarely seen chocolate brown finish. The body is made of gorgeous master grade solid birdseye maple and AAA spruce. The three-piece neck has an ebony fingerboard and a rosewood headstock overlay. The headstock logo is inlaid MOP. 

The instrument is all original and comes with the original case and hang tag. It is in excellent condition for its age, with low comfortable action and no appreciable fret wear or fingerboard wear. There are no cracks or other structural defects. There are a couple of very small dings in the finish on the top (see photos), another finish ding on the heal cap and minor lacquer checking in a small area on the back of the neck down near the heal. There is also light tarnish on the tailpiece as seen in the pics. The original hand made ebony vintage style bridge is in excellent condition, and the engraved nickel plated tuners are of very high quality and work flawlessly. The finish is silky smooth hand-rubbed satin nitro lacquer. I am selling this instrument for a good friend who is the original owner and is a professional musician, a multi-instrumentalist virtuoso on mandolin, bass and guitar.
