I used these 525k pots and caps in a Les Paul copy made by Oscar Schmidt. Requires soldering, as you would expect, but easy installation otherwise. I replaced the pickups and switch and output jack as well, so all new electronics. The guitar sounds awesome. 525k is a good rating for humbuckers. You would want a lower value for single coil pickups, probably. I expect trouble-free use of this guitar for a long time, thanks to the reputation for reliability that CTS has, but time will tell. If you are going to upgrade electronics, CTS is the brand of choice for potentiometers. Smooth, quiet, consistent operation that you will not notice because it works the way it's supposed to. Just play.

These components are top quality, in my opinion. I measured resistance and they truly are close to 525K ohms. I'm looking forward to having that top quality sound coming from my old guitar.

Ohmed out at about 520K and a nice audio taper .Knob rotation has a bit of resistance to it.Came with two hex nuts.

I put this in a Squier Mustang HH w/ some SD Distortions. These are great for these pickups, just be sure to use a higher valued capacitor for tone control.
