Own an original piece of steampunk history! This is the original mechanical arm made by me, Thomas Willeford, owner of Brute Force Studios and author of "Steampunk Gear, Gadgets, and Gizmos: A Maker's Guide to Creating Modern Artifacts" (http://www.amazon.com/Steampunk-Gear-Gadgets-Gizmos-Artifacts/dp/0071762361/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1330983687&sr=8-1). This arm was worn by Nathan Fillion on the steampunk episode of ABC's "Castle" ("Punked" Season 3, Episode 4).
"Castle and Beckett look into the murder of a young mathematician gunned
down with a 200-year-old bullet, sparking some wild theories by Castle
about a time-travelling killer. When their investigation uncovers a
tricked-out DeLorean and a suspect in Victorian clothing, is it possible
Castle's crazy idea has some validity? This winding tale twists through
the towers of Wall Street and into the world of a secret steampunk
society that embraces the romance and simplicity of the past, while
coupling it with the hope and promise of the future. --ABC Publicity"
Since the episode aired, people have been asking us if we're ever going to sell the arm and we've resisted until now. We're loathe to part with it but we've decided to finally sell it to one lucky fan in order to fund a new hitherto-undisclosed project, so if it becomes too much effort to sell it, I just won't. I will under NO circumstances lower the price of this item or trade it for something else.
The arm weighs about 10 lbs and will fit a bicep measurement of up to 16". It also features an adjustable chest strap.
Some repairs have been made to the arm after it was returned from the set. The only difference is an improved elbow cog (this one is metal, rather than the original acrylic).
Do NOT ask me in a private message to ship to an address that is different from your primary shipping address (must not be one of our excluded locations). If I think your address looks dodgy, I will pull the listing.
Do NOT ask me to take this listing off of eBay or sell it to you via a private message. Not only is that very much against eBay rules but it's also not fair to anyone else who may be interested in buying.
Sorry, no returns or exchanges.

I have had a few inquiries about the reserve on this item. Regrettably I can not tell anyone the amount of the reserve as it represents an off line bid placed before offering the arm up for auction. Thus if it does not meet the reserve price it will then go to them.
