I enjoyed this documentary as much as Planet Earth. It is easy to understand the narrative of Oprah Winfrey, its not hard to get submerged in the beatiful images and landscapes of the high resolution quality and vibran colors of this BluRay. It is very informative and is designed for general audience in overall, you will not find strange words or stuff that will require some traduction for understanding. My only issue here is that many of the clips are taken from Planet Earth and some are repeated on different discs. For example, in the Disc 1, you saw a frog jumping in the air failing to catch an insect, you will see the same scene again on the disc 2. Or if you saw a fly eating plant on the disc 2, you will see it again on the disc 3. Plus some scenarios aren't high definition, probably it had the same issue as Planet Earth. By the time that the production started to film Life, they weren't HD ready, it takes years to finish this. I really enjoyed this and it is recommended for those aficionados who loves to watch nature in its full power on high definition and enjoys the sutile voice of Oprah.Read full review
This BBC Earth series called Life is very good. They break down life into the various categories such as, plants, animal, primates, and such. And in each section they break it down further to show the basics of life and the drives. Oprah has a great voice as narrator that lends a soothing touch. Some scenes, as in nature, are graphic. But it is a very good series of 4 discs.

Very pleased with this purchase. I hesitated bidding on this item because of all the negative comments given due to the fact it was narrated by Oprah. The version by David Attenborough was supposed to be much better and was the recommended version to buy. Oprah was fine. The videos were stunning and her narration was fine. I would highly recommend this set of BluRay videos to any nature fans.
Loved every minute of it.

Was very pleased with this Blu-ray and it's a must on Blu-ray. The picture quality is much clearer and breath taking videos. Narrated by Oprah Winfrey who I though brought a enlighten teacher's voice to this. Worth to see - but in Blu-ray.
