I hate to get into bickering or interfere with another seller, even if they are a competitor, but I have to address that fact that another seller is offering a similar product for $5.  He claims to offer a product that is "5x as active" as this one. I ordered some and ran a legitimate and objective test comparing his product to this one. I'll post pictures of the results soon. Not only are his claims false, but his product was less active than this one. I contacted him and provided him the the testing method I used, and asked him to provide me with his testing protocol that demonstrated to him that his product was 5x as active as mine. He couldn't do this and instead sent a message that "we'll just have to agree to disagree." I pointed out that this is science and demonstrating activity is straightforward test and that "agreeing to disagree" is not science. He responded by by lowering his price to $5.
Unless there is outright fraud, I do not interfere with another person's sales. You can check my other listings to prove this to yourself. This is fraud, and so I am making you aware of this. You can certainly buy from this seller. That is up to you. His powder does indeed show some activity, just not nearly what he claims. Look at his listing's pictures showing his products activity. They are nearly identical to mine, because they are "clones" if my testing method, not his own. The question is: If you try his product and you don't get favorable results, how do you know if you truly don't respond to pseudocatalase (which happens), or if you didn't respond because you were using an inferior product? I would argue that saving some money, and not much, and then committing to using this compound for the next few months (at least) is not worth the savings, especialy when the seller has little knowledge of chemistry nor why this compound should work.

In summation:

Buyer beware.
This listing has more weight than any competitor, and is more potent....guaranteed. This is as pure a pseudocatalase powder as chemically possible with nothing added or taken away from the formulation published in the medical journals. For another seller to suggest that their powder is "5x" as active is simply ridiculous. In truth you are getting over 10 grams of pseudocatalase when you order this product.

You will need to commit to using this twice per day, getting UVB light (natural or artificial), and sticking with this product for several months before beginning to see any changes. If you can't do this, you may be wasting your money on this product or any other. The published research states that the beginning of noticeable positive results are typically seen in approximately 4 months.
This is pure pseudocatalase powder as published in the medical journals. Any claims by others that their product is somehow more active is simply nonsense.

Take a look at the 4 pictures that two users of this product have sent in. The first two pictures are before and after shots of vitiligo lesions filling in after one month of treatment on a Caucasian woman. It's a pretty dramatic change for one month's use.The third picture is of the same woman after 2 months of use. Ignore the tan and look how the white lesions are filling in with new pigment. She writes "I haven't been able to get much phototherapy, just suntanning a few hours over the month." The forth picture shows spots of pigment refilling unpigmented areas on the arm of an Asian women.

I've added a fifth picture for those wishing to treat ordinary gray hair. This is the image of the gentleman (an eBay client) in the white t-shirt.
This fairly significant initial change in hair color occurred in only two months, which is faster than the anticipated 4 months (sometimes more) needed before results are usually first noticed.
It likely that because he trimmed his hair, the color change was seen earlier than usual. The hair color changes as new darker hair grows up from the scalp. The already grown "old" hair does not change color.

These pictures do not represent the results of other products or other vendors, only the product offered in this listing.

Research shows that for vitiligo, pseudocatalase is less effective on the fingers and feet than for other areas of the body. There are no large scale completed studies on the use of pseudocatalase on the scalp for hair color yet, but I'll keep you all updated.

Pseudocatalase (PC-KUS) will degrade when mixed with any lotion or water solution beginning the instant the mixture is made.
Even peer reviewed medical journal articles point this out. Though researchers have tried to overcome this degradation process, as well as the accompanying loss of effectiveness, this has not yet been achieved.
The powder offered in this listing is very stable and should last for years.
In contrast, mixed creams, lotions, and solutions of PC-KUS will last as short as 6 weeks. Studies have shown that even storing the premixed cream in an oxygen free bottle filled with an inert gas did not stop the degradation. It is very easy for anyone to mix the active powder provided into any inexpensive store bought skin cream. This means that you can store the powder for a year or two and mix it into any skin cream as needed. You can even mix only a portion of the powder and mix the other portion into fresh skin cream after the first batch degrades, saving you money.
When you order, you will receive two packets of all the active ingredients for PC-KUS, exactly as published in the medical journals using the highest grade reagents.
These packets are very stable until mixed.

You should not purchase premixed lotions or serums. With a shelf life of as little of 6 weeks, it will have begun to degrade the day it was produced. Again, this is according to the published medical literature, not just my word. The other sellers may say otherwise, but the literature shows that their claims of lotion "stabilization" have not been achieved, even by universities.
The mixing "recipe" for the 2 packets of powder supplied in this listing are truly very simple and can be found below if you scroll down this listing to the paragraph in bold.

You can read this entire listing if you're a nerd like me, or you can just "cut to the chase" and read the paragraph in bold down below which is all you really need to know about mixing this product..

Are all products claiming to be pseudocatalase the same?
You'd expect that because I am selling the compound, I'd try and dissuade you from purchasing from other sources.
Look at my other listings and you'll see that I don't do this...except in this case.

I am indeed trying to dissuade you, but only because other sellers have misrepresented their product and have not fully followed the original published medical research.

The formulation I offer is exactly the active pseudocatalase as published in the research journals and nothing less!
All of the other products I have seen contained ingredients that are not active as a pseudocatalase.
In fact these inactive ingredients can make up the majority of their product.

Even if these deficiencies were corrected, or were not true of every seller, there is still another major issue.
In practical terms, this formulation will be over 50% more active than the competitor's offering.
So in fact, if you use this product in your mix versus the best competitor's product, you could dilute ours by making over 600ml of cream and it would be just as active as their product made full strength with only a 400ml yield.
Put another way, you would have to buy over 1.5 times the amount of any known competitor's product for the same pseudocatalase activity as you will find in our product.

Last issue (promise): Any pseudocatalase that is "pre-blended" in a powder, or worse a cream or lotion, will begin to degrade once it is manufactured, and before you even receive the product. This is clearly described in the original peer reviewed published research, and the reason that we will supply you with two packets to place together when you are ready to begin using the product. The packets are stable until mixed so long as you keep it in a dark, cool place such as a sock drawer.

This is not hype.
This is fundamental chemistry and more effective manufacturing practices, all the while delivering the same product safety.

If you don't get the desired results from other products, how are you going to know if it's due to the product you purchased ?

Just keep this in mind when you purchase.

The following is taken from The Examiner (dot com):

"In a new research report published online in the FASEB Journal, people who are going gray develop massive oxidative stress via accumulation of hydrogen peroxide in the hair follicle, which causes our hair to bleach itself from the inside out. But most importantly, the report shows that this massive accumulation of hydrogen peroxide can be remedied with a proprietary treatment developed by the researchers described as a topical, UVB-activated compound called PC-KUS (a modified pseudocatalase), according to the May 3, 2013 news release, "Gray hair and vitiligo reversed at the root."

"To date, it is beyond any doubt that the sudden loss of the inherited skin and localized hair color can affect those individuals in many fundamental ways," said Karin U. Schallreuter, M.D., according to a May 3, 2013 news release, "Gray hair and vitiligo reversed at the root." Dr. Schallreuter is the study's author from the Institute for Pigmentary Disorders in association with E.M. Arndt University of Greifswald, Germany and the Center for Skin Sciences, School of Life Sciences at the University of Bradford, United Kingdom. "The improvement of quality of life after total and even partial successful repigmentation has been documented.""

Pseudocatalase "PC-KUS" has recently been shown to be an effective treatment for both Grey Hair as well as skin depigmentation of the skin due to Vitiligo.

This eBay listing is for nearly 14 grams of pure pseudocatalase powder.

This is enough powder to make at least 400ml of active cream the same strength as used in the clinical studies.
That is approximately 1/4 the price of the competitors product, and since this compound begins to degrade the second it is put into water or a moisturizing cream, you know that this product will be as potent and fresh as possible.

You can add this mix to your favorite skin cream. You no longer have to use the other guy's cream.

Pseudocatalase is an enzyme that emulates the body's Natural Enzyme, Catalase.
Your body produces catalase in order to break down Hydrogen Peroxide into Water and Oxygen which are more benign and far less chemically reactive.
Hydrogen Peroxide is produced in the body through normal metabolism, including the action of your body's natural enzyme Superoxide Dismutase on any damaging Superoxide free radicals.

OK, enough of the biochemistry.

So how can you test the activity of a pseudocatalase product?

This is actually very simple to do at home!
Take a tiny little bit of the product you wish to test, and place it on a clean plate or clean Teflon pan..
Next take a clean eyedropper and use it to place a drop of inexpensive supermarket purchased hydrogen peroxide on the product sample you want to test.
Catalase activity (as you should expect from any pseudocatalase product) exists if, and only if, there is a production of small bubbles when you place your hydrogen peroxide drop in contact with any product. You may also see the product begin to turn a brownish color over time. Do not expect lots of bubbles (store bought hydrogen peroxide is only 3%), but over several minutes look for very small bubbles that grow larger with time on the surface of the sample being tested.

If you look at the pictures above that accompany this listing (forgetting the Einstein picture for now), you'll find two pictures of pseudocatalase cream, made from the product being sold in this listing, after it was added to an ordinary skin cream. A few drops of a 3% store bought hydrogen peroxide was gently dropped on top of a small sample of the cream. After approximately half an hour it is easy to see that oxygen bubbles are clearly visible in, and on, the cream, but no bubbles are visible within the hydrogen peroxide that is not in contact with the cream. This is proof of the catalase activity within the cream, and  just as important, the lack of catalase activity away from the cream.

This is hydrogen peroxide breaking down into simple water and oxygen (the bubbles are oxygen bubbles). If you don't see this activity when you perform this easy test on your product, you are simply not going to have catalase activity when you apply their product to your skin....period.

Natural catalase can diminish in the body for various reasons, most unknown, however Pseudocatalase can be used topically to restore skin catalase activity once again. It's interesting that natural catalase either ingested or applied topically to the skin does not work. This was reported in the original PC-KUS journal article.

Compounding pharmacies typically add 2.5 grams - 3 grams of this powder to 3ml (about 1/2 teaspoon) of distilled water.
This is mixed until fully dissolved, which happens very quickly.
This solution is then added to approximately 100ml of nearly any commercial skin moisturizer cream that is not entirely oil based (Don't use Vaseline jelly since this is entirely oil based).
The moisturizer is then typically applied to the skin needing treatment as one would apply any moisturizer.

When the moisturizing cream mix begins to change color in the weeks or months to come, generally a brownish yellow, you will know that the added pseudocatalase is breaking down and it is time to discard this batch of moisturizer and make a fresh batch. Storing the cream in a bottle in a cool dark place will extend the lifetime of the mixture.

It is recommended to expose the treated skin to some form of UV light, such as one would receive by normal summer skin exposure, a few times per week.

If you just want to mix up a batch of this stuff easily and be done with it:

Dump the contents of both packet "A" and packet "B" into an clean empty whiskey shot glass or something similar.
Next take the shot glass containing the powders and fill it half way
with distilled water.  If you want to be almost exact, then use 1 tablespoon of distilled water.
It will fizz for a few seconds and then you are done!
Add everything in the shot glass to about 400ml of skin moisturizing cream and mix.
The cheap store bought cream (think dollar store) will work just as well as the expensive stuff.
If you don't want to mix a full batch and make 400 ml of cream, then a
dd approximately the same proportion of "Part B" into the glass container that you used of "Part A".
In other words, if you placed about 1/2 of the powder contained in the bag labeled "Part A" into the glass container, place about 1/2 of the powder in "Part B" in the same container and then use 1/2 the distilled water you would have used. Once reacted, and the fizzing stops, use in 1/2 the cream (or Xanthan water if you prefer {see below}) you would have used for making a full batch.
This is not rocket science, so if you are a little off on your estimation, don't stress, it should be fine!
You are now finished, and the cream is ready to be used twice a day.

Your order, used in full, will give you a bit less than 1/2 liter which is also a bit less than 1/2 quart.
That's a lot of pseudocatalase!

To quickly recap: You can use half the contents of each of the packets, and save some powder for later since it is more stable if left in powder form.
If you do this, just use half the water and half the cream also.

So if you used about a quarter of the powder from your original order, that would be about 3.5 grams since the total order shipped contained 14 grams.
(1/4 of 14 grams equals 3.5 grams) and thus you would add about 3ml of distilled water to this.
Some bubbles may form, so do not tightly cap your mixing container.
Wait a few minutes, or more if need be, until most of the bubbling stops.

* Add this solution to your moisturizer, remembering that your 14 gram order will allow you to mix your distilled water solution into 330ml to 400ml of ordinary commercially purchased moisturizer. Again use a moisturizer that is not entirely oil based (ex: do not use Vaseline Jelly). Most moisturizers are just fine for use in this project.

*Important: As mentioned previously, in the weeks after you've mixed a batch, when the moisturizing cream pseudocatalase mixture begins to change color (a mild brownish yellow) you will know that the added pseudocatalase is breaking down and that it is time to discard this batch of moisturizer and make a fresh batch. This product will last a long time if it is stored as a powder in a cool dark dry place. Once you make a solution, its shelf life will greatly diminish. This is a general truth for all dissolved compounds and the reason you may not want to purchase a ready made pseudocatalase cream.

Use common sense. This is not considered toxic, but everything is toxic if enough is taken. If you get powder, or concentrated liquid on your skin, wash it with tap water and soap. Do not contaminate food with anything that you are mixing. Keep everything away from children and pets.

I've made this seem like a complicated process because I'm a science nerd, but I assure you that it is simple enough for a child to perform.

I want to address one concern that some people are having. Some buyers want to apply this product to the hair on their head, but don't want to use a greasy cream there. This is a legitimate cosmetic concern. There is a "shear thinning" compound (feel free to Google that term if you are interested) that is readily available on eBay called Xanthan gum. It is inexpensive, safe, and used in all sorts of commercial skin products, toothpastes, and even many foods. You can use distilled water instead on the skin cream if you add Xanthan gum to the water. The idea here is that particles that would have dissolved in a cream will now be suspended in the Xanthan/water mix if shaken prior to use. These particles won't dissolve in this mix, but if they are properly suspended by the Xanthan, which thickens the solution, they will make it to your scalp and the particles that did not dissolve in the cream will dissolve in the natural oils on your scalp if you rub the mixture in, even if you've just washed your hair. Though called Xanthan gum, in the amounts you will be using it will not be sticky at all, and shouldn't even be noticed once applied and allowed to dry on your scalp.

Here is a recipe for the Xanthan Gum mix that you can use on your scalp and avoid having to use a greasy cream:

Instead of measuring out 400ml of skin cream, you can just measure out 400ml of room temperature, or slightly warmed, distilled water. Don't use cold water for this. Before you add anything else to this water, add between 0.4 to 0.6 grams of Xanthan Gum powder (about 1/4 teaspoon). Ideally you want to do this in a blender while slowing sprinkling in the dried Xanthan Gum powder over a period of maybe a few seconds. I didn't do this, but instead put the 400ml of distilled water in a clear plastic bottle and swirled this by hand as I added the Xanthan powder. Once I added it all, I capped the bottle and shook vigorously for less than a minute. I did have a few very small clumps, but they weren't really noticeable and tended to fully dissolve later.
Now use this as you would the cream, and add your psedocatalase mixture to it as instructed above for a skin cream.
It will have the a milky appearance after mixing or briefly shaking or swirling.
You'll notice that the water will gel just a bit, not really thick, but thick enough so that if you shake it before each use, it will fully suspend your pseudocatalase mixture. You can store this in your refrigerator, which will with likely extend the useful life of your final product
Remember to apply this to your scalp and not your hair, if this is the area being treated, and you don't need much. Simply massage into your skin, leave it there, and let dry. You may want to wash your hands. Use a clear plastic or glass bottle and it will be easy to see when it begins to turn a slight brownish color (indicating diminishing activity) and needs replacing.

I came up with this recipe for you buyers :-)
Now nobody need have greasy hair!

You can buy Xanthan Gum powder on eBay really inexpensively as mentioned above, OR........
If you ask me in an eBay message when you buy this product, I'll throw in a small packet for free.
Once I'm out of Xanthan I'll remove this paragraph.

What a guy :-)

The last buyer question I receive a fair amount is "how long should I use the cream?"
I would expect that if it will work on you (everyone is different), it would likely take 4 months of faithful use and UV exposure (just walk outside in the sun for 15 minutes with the treated area exposed) before you can tell if a change is occurring. You will need to look at new hair growth near the roots, not just the entire hair shaft. Once you are happy with any changes, you can use less to maintain the appearance. Vitiligo improvement will be noticed by pigmented spot developing inside the area treated and/or a reduction in the area size. It is gratifying to know that the face and body do seem to respond well.

This is new research, so much has yet to be discovered.
