TERMS & CONDITIONS

C & T warrants to their original purchaser(s) that each product sold by C & T shall be free, under normal use and with periodical maintenance as set forth by the original manufacturer, from any defects in materials and workmanship, subject to terms and conditions as follows:

TERMS:

C & T, at its options, shall replace a product within the warranty term after determination by C & T that the product is defective.

1. Used Engines: Sold as long block only, 90 days commencing from date of purchase.  Any external components of the engine are not warranted under this warranty.
2. No warranty is offered on Mazda Rotary, diesel, high performance and racing engines.  Racing engines are not street legal.
3. Local Wrecking Engines: 90 days commencing from date of purchase.
4. Rebuilt Engines: 180 days commencing from date of purchase.
5. Used Transmissions: 90 days commencing from date of purchase.  Electrical switches, wiring systems, shifting linkage and torque converters are not guaranteed.
6. All products other than above mentioned are sold as is condition.  No Returns, refunds, or warranty is offered unless is specified on the invoice.
    

LIMITED LIABILITY:

C & T's liability under this warranty is limited solely to replacement of defective products.  C & T shall not be liable for any incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including towing fees or for any service not expressly provided for herein, related to  or arising from C & T's products.  This warranty is not transferable, and warranty repairs or replacement of product do not extend the life of this warranty.

 

LIMITED WARRANTY:

This warranty is given in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, of fitness for a particular purpose, on the part of C & T or the dealer installing the engine.

 

RETURN POLICY:

1. In case of mechanical breakdown, customer must notify C & T immediately and obtain an authorization for inspection and shipping instruction.
2. The defective unit with all external components must be returned to our premises at customer's cost within 7 days after authorization is given.
3. We will not accept any shipment returned in freight collect, C.O.D. or without any consent of C & T.
4. C & T has the right to inspect the defective unit for a period of 2 to 7 working days before any replacement unit is given out.
5. Warranty will be voided for any unauthorized repair or disassemble on defective unit without consent of C & T.
6. All merchandise sold is under exchange policy only.  If a product is being installed, disassembled, damaged or kept over 7 days from date of purchase, absolutely NO refund.
7. 20% Handling and Restocking fee will be charged on any returned items.  Freight and delivery charges are not refundable.
8. Deposit is good for 14 days only, non-refundable and no credit.  $25.00 service charge for any returned check.
9. Any returned merchandise must accompany with original receipt, otherwise no warranty will be honored.

 

CORE POLICY:

All C & T engines and transmissions are sold on an exchange basis.  Core deposits are paid in advance.  Credit on cores or refunds are subject to inspection and able to be rebuilt.  The following procedures should be followed when returning cores:

1. Complete long block.  Remove any parts not included with exchange engine and drain all engine oil and water.
2. Complete assembled transmission and drain all transmission fluid.
3. In order to receive a core refund or credit, we must receive core within 14 days commencing from date of purchase. If more time is needed, do proper arrangements when buying merchandise.
   

 

IMPORTANT:

1. A heat tab is installed on the block of every engine we sell.  If the tab is removed or the center is melted, warranty will be voided.  It is the customer's responsibility to check the location of heat tab, and make sure it does not fall off during installation.  Call us for details.
2. I (WE) agree that should a dispute arise concerning the terms and conditions of this warranty (agreement) or any of the transaction or performance between buyer and C & T, or any of its subsidiaries/divisions that the buyer, its officers, owners, agents and representatives herein agree to submit to the jurisdiction and venue of The State of California, County of San Bernardino.
