Yet Another Piece Of Junk (MP4 Digital Music Player)

I have a few Good quality MP3 Players, but I wanted to get something that if it broke; it wouldn't be as big of a deal. I don't want to risk my high-priced players when I'm doing some activity that could break them. So I did a search on Ebay and found the (MP4 Digital Player--2.4" TFT 2GB MP4 Player MP3 PMP GAME SD Slot REC Black) being sold by (Campus111). The spec's seemed decent;  So I bought it for around $30. As soon as the player came in I noticed how much of a piece of junk the player is! I understand $30 isn't going to offer the dependability of a higher-quality player, but the MP4 Digital Music Player is almost completely worthless. Below is a list of problems the player suffers from. If I had to guess; I would say an 8 Year Old designed the MP4 Digital Music Player; without ANY working Knowledge of Electronics.

This Device In Fact Is So Bad, That I Created A Guide To Help Others Avoid Junk Like This! Because I'm SICK of getting stuck with the garbage sellers keep selling on Ebay! Manual Misspelling's & Grammatical Errors Equals JUNK!



PROBLEMS WITH THE MP4 DIGITAL MUSIC PLAYER:
1. The Player (HAS) A Slot For MiniSD 2GB Upgrade Card, But THE SLOT ISN'T LARGE ENOUGH TO ALLOW FOR THE CARD TO BE INSTALLED! This Is Just Horrible Design Flaws. How Can You Design A Player With A MiniSD Card Slot, And Then Make The Slow Too Small?
2. Horrible Interface! You Have To Use The 2 Side-Arrow Keys To Select A Menu Option, Then Click The (M) Button To Access It. Unlike Most Other Players Where You Can Just Press The (Center) Button. The Device Does Have A (Center) Button, But It Only Works When You Are In A Dedicated Area. So Why The Designers Didn't Just Make The (Center) Button the Primary Button Is Beyond Me. So Navigating The MP4 Digital Player's Menu is Mega Annoying!
3. My Player Already Came With Dead Pixels On The Display. So For Example When I Try Watching A Video Clip;  I Will See These Dead Spots On The Screen. Odds Are, ALL OF THE PLAYERS HAVE THESE FAULTS!
4. No Battery Life! I Charged This Stupid Thing Right When I Got It, And Within An Hour Of Trying To Get The Thing Working; The Battery Life is Almost Half-Way Gone. And I Didn't Even Use It For The Entire Hour! I Just Used It For Maybe 10 Minutes In All. I Imagine This Player Is Like The iPod; In Which It Doesn't Really Turn Off When You Press The On/Off Button. Instead It Goes To Sleep; Still Wasting Battery Power.
5. Software Is Extremely Old! It Comes With Windows 98 Drivers! Yeah, Windows 98! And Anyone That Knows About Computers Understands That Installing Windows 98 Drivers on a Win2K/XP/Vista machine is a BAD IDEA! Because The Drivers Can End Up Interfering With The Newer Device Drivers; Causing A System Crash. Not To Mention The So-Called Conversion Software They Give You Is Garbage! The Software Is Not Only Old, But More Basic Then Anything I Have Seen In Years. There Is FREE Conversion Software Available On The Internet With Literally 100 Times The Capabilities Then The Garbage They Include With This Player.
6. The Player Uses A 2.5MM Headphones Port, Instead Of The Most Common 3.5MM. 2.5MM Is The Port Size For Cell Phone Headphones. 99.9% Of MP3 Players Out There Use 3.5MM. This Means You Have To Either Buy An 2.5MM-To-3.5MM-Adapter, Which Most Of The Time These Adapters Cause Crackles And Static Sounds To Occure When The Cables Are Moved. Or Use The 2.5MM Type; Which Will Drastically Reduce The Number Of Quality Stereo Headphones That You Can Find.
7. Just Plug-In-Play, NO Custom Software. With Other Music Players You Can Download Custom Software For The Device At The Manufacturers Home Page. That Means If The Device's Software Messes Up; Then You Can Easily Just Restore It Using Your PC & The Custom Software. Since The Software Included With The MP4 Player Is FOR WINDOWS 98! That Means Modern Computers Will End Up Installing (GENERIC DRIVERS) For The Player, And You Won't Be Able To Restore Or Repair The Devices Software.
