Which Roller Skate Wheels Do You Need?

Hello and thank you for viewing my guide to roller skate wheels. I am here to help guide you into buying the correct roller skate wheel that fits your needs. You cannot always go by the pretty colors and look of a wheel. There are many things to consider like hardness, width and height. Each wheel has its own specific use. So here we go!
First, Wheels have what is called a durometer. This is the hardness of the wheel. The lower the number the softer the wheel the higher the number the harder the wheel. Durometers range from 80A- 105A. The lower numbers are used for outdoors and the higher numbers used for indoor speed and artistic skating. The  in between 90A wheel is great for indoor rink skating on slick floors. The 90A will give you a little grip but still plenty of speed.
Second, Widths range from 30mm to 42mm and height from 55mm to 70mm.  The smaller wheels primarily used for artistic or dance for the ability to easily maneuver them.  The wider and larger wheels are great for indoor speed and outdoor traction.
We get tons of questions everyday on this topic so I hope this helps you in some way.  Feel free to drop by our roller skate shop for a HUGE selection of Inline skates, roller skates, wheel and parts.
