Confused over which TV Screen or types to buy???This guide will help you to decide which one.
Beginning early 2009, the U.S. government will require all TV signals be broadcasted in Digital format, So its time to change over to the new TV, which most of us will buy a HD, instead of the digital standard Tv's.But when you walk into a store or eBay, you're confused about 480p,720p.1080i or 1080p. Here are some ways to help you decide:
- If you really don't care about superior picture or HD, but want better than SD, get an EDTV, or Enchanced Defintion TV a TV that is better than most of your TV's in your house but has less quality than a HDTV, it could only support up to 480p, but will look better than conventional TV's. Sizes ranges from 26"-42"
- If you do care about the HD fuzz but don't have the money to spend on the best, get a 720p/1080i HDTV, the HDTV that most of us have now. This is the most recommended type, as it has a great picture and great quality. Most upconverts DVD players up to this level. Also 2 out of the 3 gaming systems offer this resolution, especially if you have a XBOX 360 premium, this is the highest resolution it could get. This is great if you're a middle budget gamer, since most games only support up to 720p currently.HD-DVD resolution also tops 720p/1080i.This is becoming the most affordable HDTV with selections from Plasmas to LCD to huge CRT's.
- If you have big bucks and want to spend to get the best, get a 1080p/Full HD TV. This is the highest resolution available.TV's generally start at $2000 for this type, but the naked eye can't tell the difference between 1080p and 720p if the screen is below 51".If you like to spend and have a playstation 3, a blu-ray player or any device that can be connected with a HDMI cable, this is perfect for you. Blu-ray Discs advertise this resolution as beyond HD, because of its stunning pictures and sound.
The choices of brands will grew larger as the demand rises for HDTV's. So decide between now to 2009 for a HDTV, since it is a great investment. I hope this guide helps
