What frame style or color works best for you?

You want to choose a style and color that reflects your personality.  The wonderful choice of styles and colors now available allows us to choose different frames to enhance our wardrobe, highlight our best features, and make a fashion statement.  Ultimately, the choice has to be yours.  Here are a few useful pointers on choices for different complexions and face shapes. 

Pale complexions: Yoiu should try lightweight metal frames with a hint of color such as amber or rose.  Tortoise shell frames can be extremely good on some fair people as long as they are not too dark.  You should avoid clear crystals as they do not offer enough color for pale skin.  Also, blue or green frames tend to drain color from the cool cheeks.

Dark complexions: People with olive, Mediterranean, golden, or Asian skin and rich black hair often look fabulous in silver, gold, or clear frames.  You may want to try burgandy reds and brown tones.  Also, avoid black since it can be too heavy.

Oval faces: An oval face has a slightly wider forefead than jaw, well balanced and softly rounded.  Just about any frame will look great on this face , but try angular or round glasses, but no too big.

Round faces: People with short and fairly wide faces with full cheeks and a round chin, should look for slimming styles.  We recommend slightly elongated shapes as long as they are not too shallow, while square, or even up-swept styles can help to highlight the upper face.  You should avoid small and round or very large shapes that make the face look even rounder.

Heart-shaped faces: These faces have a small, neat chin and mouth, tapering up and out to a broader forehead. We suggest delicate, rounded, or square styles.

Square faces: Strong and angular, or short and wide faces, should look for round or oval style frames that soften the jaw line.

Long faces:  People with high cheek bones, a deep forehead, and a strong or chiseled jaw linewould look great in wider frames that counteract the face's narrowness.  You should select frames with a strong top line can work well and avoid small, square styles.
